Death is a part of life and as sad as it may be it is inevitable. Life should be celebrated as much as death should be mourned.
This thread is for posterity and will cross all fields of life whether entertainment, music, sports, science, academia or maybe even a family member. Some hit us harder than others but that doesn't make one life more important than another.
Race car driver Jessi Combs died after crashing her vehicle while attempting to break her own land-speed driving record. The fatal crash took place Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2019 in Oregon, while Combs tried reaching speeds of 619 mph. She was 36. "It may seem a little crazy to walk directly into the line of fire ... those who are willing, are those who achieve great things. People say I'm crazy. I say thank you," Combs wrote on Instagram in the days prior to the crash. "Jessi's most notable dream was to become the fastest woman on Earth ... she left this earth driving faster than any other woman in history," Combs' family said in a statement to Autoblog.com.
Brooklyn native Eddie Money, the singer behind hit songs "Two Tickets to Paradise" and "Baby Hold On," died on Friday, Sept. 13, Variety reported, citing a statement from his family. He was 70. "The Money family regrets to announce that Eddie passed away peacefully early this morning," the statement read.

This is questionably the most famous musician nobody knows. Kurt Cobain transported him to stardom with a simple wearing of his custom t shirt. He passed away on September 11th
Daniel Johnston

Johnston spent extended periods in psychiatric institutions and was diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
He gathered a local following in the 1980s by passing out tapes of his music while working at a McDonald's in Austin, Texas.
His cult status was propelled when Nirvana's Kurt Cobain was seen wearing a T-shirt that featured artwork from Johnston's 1983 album Hi, How Are You and artists such as Pearl Jam, The Flaming Lips, and Beck covered his songs and cited him as an influence.
In 2005, Johnston was the subject of the documentary The Devil and Daniel Johnston.

The Cars singer Ric Ocasek found dead
The Cars frontman Ric Ocasek has died.
The 75-year-old was found dead in his Manhattan, New York apartment by his estranged wife Paulina Porizkova on Sunday, according to the*New York Post.
Ocasek shot to fame as the enigmatic frontman of The Cars in the late 1970s, thanks to hits like My Best Friend’s Girl and Just What I Needed, and he became one of the voices of the MTV generation, thanks to a string of new wave classics.
Ocasek’s vocals also featured heavily around the Live Aid marathon in 1985, as The Cars’ hit Drive was chosen as one of the event’s unofficial anthems.
The group disbanded in the late 1980s but reunited for the album Move Like This in 2012.
Away from the band, private Ocasek wed model Porizkova. They were husband and wife for 28 years until their split in 2017.
The late The Cars frontman was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with his bandmates last year, and told Rolling Stone at the event, “It’s certainly a wonderful feeling to be accepted by peers… It’s a positive feeling that you get.”

Here's who I would like to mention
Thurman Munson, baseball player. I can still tell you exactly where I was sitting and what I was doing when his plane went down.
Sonny Bono, singer, congressman. I have a thing for tall brunette singers, and some people say I look like him. Not usually a member of the tinfoil hat club, but I still doubt his death was an accident.
Robin Williams, oh Captain, my Captain. Two years after I quit teaching, and telling my students on the first day, "you may call me Oh Captain, My Captain," he used that line in Dead Poet's Society. Coincidence? Maybe.
